Dear fellow Rotarians,
I am honoured to serve as the President of the Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City for the Rotary year 2023-2024., which is themed "Hope." With great enthusiasm, I look forward to leading our club on a journey of service, fellowship, and positive impact under the guidance of our District Governor, Dr. John Chan. I would like to thank all of you for your trust and support.
Last term, our club achieved a platinum award for the DG's Citation. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of each member who contributed their time, skills, and resources to make a lasting difference in our community. Let us continue this legacy of excellence and strive for even greater accomplishments together.
This year, we will focus on the following service projects:
- Mental health awareness campaign to help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and offer complimentary counselling to the needy.
- Environmental project to refurbish used computers and donate them to schools and community centres.
- Eye care project to provide eyeglasses to people in need.
- Hearing care project to provide hearing aids to people with hearing loss.
- Empowering girls and literacy project.
I am confident that we can make a difference in the lives of many people through these projects. I encourage all of you to get involved and to use your talents and skills to make a difference. Together, we make the Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City a force for good and giving hope to our community.
