My fellow Rotarians,
First, I would like to thank our Club members, especially the Charter members who are still with us, and the new members who have just joined our causes. Your commitment is truly a blessing to our community.
Our utmost appreciation to our Past Presidents and their Board of Directors who have put so much effort in pioneering and keeping our Club to stay vibrant and stabilize over past years. Recalled our ambitious venture 3 years back, but this time, we solidify as a stronger team for a greater vision where we put our hearts, ideas, and hands to collaborate with each other, to contribute our vocational endeavor to our communities, and these are all for one reason – serve above self.
Taking over as Club President is another great responsibility. Undoubtedly, it is a more challenging term, but I am assured that we have the courage to overcome this together. I acknowledged the trust, the confidence, and the expectations you have on me, and I will make this a mandate that the Boards had spent years, to appoint me in various roles, to nurture and prepare me to lead the Club, and this aligned with the Club succession plan. I take it and will continue to contribute my strength to keep our Club and members focus, again this is for a reason, more beneficiaries to our communities.
I am a firm believer for every member, you have found your passionate or calling; and there is a reason you joined. Please continue to embrace your creativity and positivity to keep your calling spreads. For upcoming Club leaders, please accept and convince that you are nominated as next successors because you have demonstrated and attributed qualities of leaders, and ready to lead our Club to greater height.
Together People Create Change. Let’s be the People of Action, and to do that, you just have start with your first step, it’s not difficult at all.
So, members, please congratulate yourself as our Club has transcended the first 3 years milestone, an important benchmark that we must celebrate. Pandemic will soon transition to Endemic. We will achieve more great deeds and fellowships together in next 3 years. We are young, we must be energized, we must inspire others, we must take lead to motivate and help our communities.
Finally, I would like to congratulate RY2021-22 Board of Directors and look forward to our members’ continuous support to accomplish more decent initiatives to Serve to Change Lives.
Thank you.
Yours in Rotary,
Chew Teik Seng
President, RY2021-22
