Rotary’s Magic: Transforming Vision in Kuching!

Our 2024 ‘Enhancing Vision’ project was truly magical! The Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City, in partnership with Guan Ho Leong Optical - BDC, successfully provided 42 pairs of high - quality spectacles. These went to students striving for better academic performance, the urban poor seeking more independent daily lives, and two remarkable OKU students.

The photos tell a story of joy and new - found clarity in the eyes of our beneficiaries. This is not just about distributing glasses; it is about instilling hope and driving transformation within our community.

We are excited to announce that we are already gearing up for the 5th edition, slated for the last quarter of 2025! School teachers and Kuching - based NGOs, your expertise and support are invaluable to us. We cordially invite you to be part of this vision - spreading magic.

Vision for All – Rotary’s Gift to the Community

Exciting News! The Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City, in collaboration with Guan Ho Leong Optical - BDC 源和隆眼镜行, is thrilled to announce the 4th edition of our ‘Enhancing Vision’ project. This year, we are providing 100 pairs of free spectacles to school students and urban poor individuals with presbyopia in Kuching.

Project Duration: October 2024 - 31 December 2024

Our Mission: We believe that good vision is a fundamental right. By ensuring everyone in our community has access to clear vision, we are enhancing their quality of life and educational opportunities.

Objective: Improve vision and protect against harmful UV and blue light.

How to Participate:

Eligibility: Students from primary school to university level and urban poor individuals with presbyopia in Kuching.
Application Process:

Complete the Rotary Free Spectacles Request 2024 - 4th Edition form online: https://app.startinfinity.com/form/4744d134-38b3-47bb-871d-7055b06940aa
The committee will review applications for qualification.
Approved applicants will be notified via WhatsApp within 2 weeks.
