"Rotary Care For Your Health–Enhancing Vision" campaign concluded on 31 December 2023. Our Corporate Partner, Guan Ho Leong Optical - BDC 源和隆眼镜行, aimed to sponsor 100 spectacles for the following target groups:
- Students (Primary school to University level)
- Urban poor individuals with presbyopia
The aim is to improve vision and protect against harmful UV and blue light.
Due to not meeting the eligibility criteria or other reasons, we rejected 5 out of the 43 online applications. 4 applicants had submitted multiple applications. 12 applicants were approved and contacted to undergo vision tests at Guan Ho Leong Optical, but they did not show up for their appointments despite repeated reminders.
22 applicants accomplished receiving their spectacles, fulfilling the campaign's aim. The total value of the sponsored spectacles received by these recipients amounts to RM8800+.
Thank you to all participants for supporting us in improving vision and protecting against harmful light. We hope these spectacles will make a positive difference in the lives of the recipients.

Free 100 Spectacles to those in needs

Once applications submitted online, the committee will review them for qualification. We will notify the approved applicants via WhatsApp.
100 Kuching residents meeting the criteria will receive complimentary spectacles.
