To instill mass awareness to community of washing hands correctly, Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City (RCKUC) are responding to Municipal’s call and Rotary International’s six key causes, Fighting Disease and Supporting Education by amplifying mass awareness in our community.
Our first community project in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS), and we were honored to have Datuk Mayor Datuk Wee to grace the community project, with a short interview session conducted live, via social media, and in parallel with conventional posters to be available at few dominant areas under the jurisdiction of MBKS.
Led by Project Organizing Chairlady, Rtn. Careen Chua, and our first ever host, President Elect Amy Lim, we have handed over 34 pcs of “Wash Your Hands Correctly” Posters, sponsored by District Governors to be allocated to a few highly populated area within MBKS’s communities, particularly public toilets within MBKS Townhall, Song Keng Hai Hawker Center, Petanak Hawker Center, Stutong Wet Market, Hui Sing Hawker Center.
The project also saw a swift coordination and collaboration between District, Club and Local Community, with roles play at different capacity.
